Please remember I suck with terminology

Each trackday organization offers a chance to corner work at their events in return for a track day credit.

Cornerworking consists of watching the riders on the track and making sure they all stay safe by making sure they follow the rules and the track is ok to ride in that section. They are the eyes for the organization so that they can know what is going on all over the track to make sure everyone stays safe. They are very much needed out there, and without them we wouldn't be able to ride.

They get different color flags to signal to the riders what is going on. Such as a red flag usually means that everyone needs to get off the track, something is going on. Checkered flag is usually a signal that the session is over, and so on with the different flags.

I get the same looks when I tell people my girl cornerworks so that I can have a way to afford track days.....

I usually never explain it and leave them wondering

Have you contacted the track org to make sure there is a spot. If not, a week prior to the event may be too late.
