Ninja 650r for track bike?

What do you guys think or even a ducati monster.. Is the riding style aggresive enough or just I still with an inline. Does the SV's sit similar to these two bikes?

WERA has a ton of Ninja 650s racing in it. Not so many around here. From what I've seen, it's still easier to track an SV than the Ninja. The SV starts out with more horsepower, better brakes, and better handling without having to make a bunch of mods.

Still, for a trackday bike, it's very good at that.

that is a good price. some aftermarket bars and you're good to go. you could even get woodcraft rearsets if you wanted that SS position. not to mention all the 636 upgrade parts, front end swap being the most useful.

for track i would like
race body work
636 front end (brakes, forks, wheel, controls)
woodcraft rearsets

aaaaand if you really wanted too, 636 gauges plug right in. and swingarm bolts on as well

out of curosity... with spills being probable when riding @ 100%.... what is the big deal for race body work other than aerodynamics? Is that it? So could you keep up with the pros on a naked instead? Seems cheaper to fix...

well the only thing I would say would be fairings and such cover the engine and alot of the important pieces.. so if it were to lowside I would rather it go on the fairings than the frame or engine
