I love my 636. Forget about what you read about those tachs. I never have a prob seeing mine, but I usually go by sound anyway. Good mid range and great handling.

what's so gay about the tack? Mine's just fine and if you think you won't be able to see it, then just get a double bubble screen. BTW, bikes confy!

We're racing one this season. Brandon hasn't had any problems reading the tach, nor has Ronnie.
If I were in the market for a street 600 nowadays, the 636 would probably be my bike of choice; great suspension & brakes, decent riding position / wind protection and excellent power for a 600.

The 636 is not a 600... just wanted to point that out, again.

Other than that: Zx6R; the battery is a to get to, the coolant reservoir is a PITA to get to, rear storage space is a joke.... and everything that Patrick has said. It's small, light, lower center of gravity, and powerfull... Best bang for the buck in terms of a badass SportBike under 1L but is not a 600cc!

+1 to the storage issue. I have room for two packs of smokes in there.....or a power commander. "Buy a power commander and improve your health" right Patrick?

my friend and myself have never had a problem with reaching the battery or coolant. you should of seen the way i disassembled everything just to add a license plate light to the fender eliminator we added (home made of course)

a R6 isnt a 600 either, its a 599cc. so they are cheating too.

The 636 is not a "600"...

The R6 doesn't rev to 17.5k as stated...

At least Kawi can count. :icon_bigg

Really though, I dig the 636. I loved my '03 model and although I've only had limited seat time on my '05 I'm diggin' it. Haven't ridden the 6RR. I sat on the new R6 at the IMS show and felt pretty tight. If you know how to ride a middleweight, you should be happy with either bike... but the 636 will have a little more mid-range.
