Benefit For Coach Dave

Heres just a suggestion. We are trying to do somethiing good for Coach a benefit ride where each ride would donate 5 or 10 dollars for the ride having diner plate to go with it. At the gathering we could sell food and drinks raffle off a few cycle gear that we could try to get a local store to donate to the cause. This would take some people who are serious at making it happen. Let make this a vote thing seeing who like this idea. Make sure to let the family know because their input is also important.

+1.

I think both are good ideas. I'm definitely in for either one or both events.

A benefit ride with a dinner plate, raffle, etc. is more work intensive, but will have a bigger impact. It looks as if we have plenty of people willing to put in the effort. The economy, the way it is, some might not be in a financial position to really put in cash, but they have time to contribute.

Not to go off topic, but I posted some info on donation gathering some are doing for this Weds at Starbucks on 529 and 6, 7 pm.

Sounds like Daves family needs the help sooner than later, so if anyone can drop off a buck or two I am sure they will really appreciate it.

It is in his "family" thread in the general forum.

Sounds like a good idea.

We have a paypal set up for all the communities he was apart of, there is a collection headed by SBM for Wednesday, and during the Memorial Ride there will be a time to contribute for those interested. This sounds like an awesome idea. We can get members to offer up food(like a potluck) and at a park. I'd be happy to help where I can. Some of the sponsors on here may be able to offer coupons/discounts on services.

There needs to be one distinct organizer, then whomever wishes to help gets their jobs dispatched to them. Then run with it w authority, set time/date and plan it like a meet and greet deadline.

Awesome idea!!! I'll be happy to attend.
