He really loosened up with the HAK and SBM guys and turned into a bonafide Forest Gnome, and showed just what kind of guy he really was. One in a Million surely fits him.

We lost an awesome friend and fellow rider; they lost a father, husband, brother and son. Keep his family in your hearts and prayers, I know from experience how hard the next few days are going to be.

He was always smiling and welcoming. It's hard to imagine him every being shy!

He did enjoy the forest. Last ride I did with him we were headed out 1097 to meet Mudbug, and he was like "hey, we have some time, want to run up and back thru the forest real quick?" Even after riding all day and it was cold, we ended up running back around and thru the Forest one last time.. we ran into the SBM gang in Montgomery and he pulled over and went with them after...

That was him, always ready to hit the road, go a little father, try another side road.. just full of life.

He was quiet and kinda nervous when we first met up...

Later we were eating lunch on the back porch of Kings and he explained it..

"I was nervous to hook up with a group I didn't know, see all these threads were someone goes down every week.. then you guys roll up with torn jackets and multi-colored bikes, and I am thinking, uh, maybe not"

We got a good laugh and I told him that was the only way to meet good people, to get out and join up and figure out which ones you wanted to ride with or not... I may have created a monster 'cause he took it to heart!

Stayed up until after 5am thinking and picturing him over and over again on the ground yesterday and us just looking over and doing the best we could to help him. Like Cali said NONE of us knew what was happening besides the obvious blood. We did what we could and most of all we were right by his side every moment we could be. Obviously has other plans, who knows it may be just to watch over all of us on his favorite roads and keep us safe. Maybe we will see him or hear his voice preaching at that Shell in Anderson. I know everytime I go see those bluebonnets I will expect to see his smiling face yet again out there standing in the feilds looking back. Bless Coach and may be with your family as you as well look upon them. I look forward to seeing you again on the other side! Much love to you and your family!

Man its hard to say goodbye, we've (me and Tina) met him a couple of times and he was always great to be around. He had nothing but nice words for Tina when we met him at Motorcycles Unlimited to get Tina's helmet checked out. He will definetly be missed

I remember when I went on my first ride with this site, I can remember pulling up and pulling my helmet off coach and cali introduced themselves before my gear even hit my bike. Since then just about every ride I have attended coach has been right there with his bromance jokes and good fun loving nature. Going to miss the big tire flinging road rocks at my bike and visor.

Imagine what I looked like standing between them! There are two of the best men on MH right there- would do anything for a friend.

Andy... Zorn....

deserves alot of credit... without missing a beat he asked if he needed to go back and get his truck for the bike. That's a hard thing to offer in that situation and I have alot of respect for Andy. He has left several forest rides to go for tools/parts for fellow bikers as Woody and others can vouch for. Unfortunately we couldnt get the truck before the tow truck, but we tried.

The bike is in the possession of Dave's brother now.

+1 cali. i've met good people here. coach felt the same way. andrea is tore up. she was'nt there. she asked me "why was'nt i there" i told her there was a reason. she is just devestated. coach loved us all unconditionally. i'm glad she was'nt there. it just makes it harder. she is on her way to get me and we are going to 3090 in her car. she wants to know where it was. she may never ride that road again.
