Had I been wearing a good motorcycle boot the day I went down, my ankle most likely would'nt have been broken.....

that was a year ago feb 9th, and my ankle still isnt 100%, prolly will never be but Id say I got back around 90% or so. At least I dont walk funny like I was for the first few months of recovery lol.

Maybe I'm misreading your message. Are you saying you didn't break your ankle because you weren't wearing boots, and the boots would have broken it? Just curious.

IMO: anything that "protrudes" ie ankles, knees, elbows, hips, etc. should be protected.
