I had ZERO riding experience when I took the class. It is not hard...the instructors are great! Your going to have a blast and learn more than you can imagine about riding a motorcycle in 2 or 3 days. Check out their website. Also, Challen was one of my instructors. Hit him up if you have any questions. He's awesome...just don't tell him I said that!
Take the class!!!!

They treat everyone like you've never even seen a bike before. Mistakes are allowed and expected, better to make them in that evironment than on the street trying to learn on your own. If you have never ridden before it is awkward at first to try and control a 300lb machine and they will totally understand. Go in there relaxed and have a good day. My class was fun, except for the heat because I took in in august.

A friend at work purchased a GS500F last summer. I got to ride it to the DMV for him. I was really impressed with that bike. It shifted nice and felt like it was real controlable and predictable. I think it would be a great starter bike.

If you wanna try a ninja 250 awesome cycles has some in their classes, you get to choose, they have suzuki and kawasaki 250 cruisers and ninjas. I drove up there from Galveston, and it was definately worth it. Also, if your thinkin about a cruiser (isnt the rebel the small honda cruiser?) you my wanna look at the 650 range, Im on my first bike and its a yamaha 650, love it, its got enough power to have fun but not enough to scare the hair off your .
And welcome!
