I was gettin' it in T1 one today.... Brandt thought he was about to make a brilliant pass, but no....DBuck stayed on the throttle until after the transition

Thanks to Andygill (even though he doesn't know it) for showing me a new line through there...I've always gone low....going in high and wide was working well for me today.

Actually that is correct, and I am FAR from the fastest guy comin down that hill. I was watchin your TWS (Texas World Speedway) vid if you were on the right line up at the top of the banking it straitens out turn one so your entry speed is greatly increased. Get on the right line and you'll see what I mean.

Hey Linz, I went down there that day and you said 160-165 was Tye.

Unless I remember wrong, which is prolly more likely.

And this isnt even the fastest way around turn one and a faster rider will force you wide when you try pulling it inside going into 2. The fastest line through there is not what most of us would think. Ty Howard comes in very low and mows grass with his left knee for a second, runs out to the painted line and turns in hard at 2 when he is at full clip. Where you are coming out onto the track is where he starts his turn. I was coming down the straight on my fastest lap there and he came up alongside on the Kaw 600 and was walking me off. He was about 15-20 feet from the inside and I was middle track wide open. I went my line as he went his going into T1. Before T2 he was at least 150ft ahead. It's not only that he is a an obviously faster rider but that line he uses takes off so much more footage. His line cannot be done on street tires without great risk. He doesn't show that line to trackday students that I know off. I tried that line and you better have it down on the peg to make it around. It is scary and I wouldn't risk going down or pushing another rider too wide if you lose your nerve.

no way, I'm with Curt on this one...no way you are doing 175 coming down the embankment. I'm WOT until the transition all the way from the coming out of the chicane to right before the transition....no way 175 is correct.

i'll agree with 175 indicated , I only looked once or twice and saw 160+, but I'm not naive to believe that number....no way it's accurate based on Linz and his CMRA radar gun experiment. If it is, mad props
