Katy today

Anyone going to katy today? I still don't have rims/tires quite yet, but it's nice out and I feel like hanging out at a track.

The track is in Katy on Stockdick road (look at the sticky thread, it has a link). It's the kart track for the mini's. I'm heading out this afternoon actually to get the tires scrubbed in and used to the track. It'll be my first time riding on it...

I still have the stock MX gearing so I won't be screaming down the straight, just want to play in the twisties.

Bike(s):
Various Equipment for various uses.
Dirt, Street, Track, Dual Sport, I like em all.

You are supposed to be a member of the track, or be a guest of a member to ride it. If you are a guest, you are supposed to only ride the members owned vehicles on the track along with signing a release form that is downloadable off the website.

You've got to be a member or ride a member's bike after you sign a waiver. It's a 24/7 type deal. When you're a member, you get the code to the gate and it's on the honor system. Members are supposed to card other members to make sure they're legit. (From what I read on their site)

You "have" to ride the "said" member's bike(s).

If you ride your own bike, not owned by the member - and you get hurt on it or damage the track (like grind the foot peg into the curb or track) and a gokarter sees that.

He WILL report you...

Also new members to the track, please don't spoil for us OLD members - its taken a long time to get along with the karter guys.

Don't do the following to them off:

1) Steal their cones.
2) Leave the gate open and unlocked upon enter/exiting the track.
3) Leaving your trash.
4) Doing an oil change in the grass - with no catch can/oil pan
5) Leaving your every where on the paved area making it inconvenient for the karters to get onto/off the track.
6) Parking or driving across the paved area. Stay on the grass...

and most importantly (this one a biker did last time out there and got reported)..

bringing a full size ATV on the track and then running it hard on the track, only to chunk up some of the track areas!

Besides that pay up the $350, show up, and ride... we got atleast 10 paid members who ride every other weekend. I'll start posting up when I go...
