Registration renewal at grocery store

Grocery stores accept vehicle registration at their courtesy booths.
Harris county only.
I have done this for several years. No long lines.
Call the store near you to see if they do it.

Randall's
HEB
Kroger
Fiesta (if any are still around)
others may do it also. gotta check

Requirements:
Your registration renewal notice and valid proof of insurance.Your registration must be expiring in the same month or the next month.
Note:You have five Harris county working days after your registration has expired to renew at the grocery store.

Yes, but if you forgot to do it on time and don't want to wait for the sticker in the mail while your tags are expired then you have another option. The line at the tax office is a mile long at the end of the month and most of them are just renewing. This was just an informative post for those that may need it.

Thanks for that info. The store I called said Harris county only so thats what I wrote. It was too late to edit my post when I thought about it. I suspect other counties will do it also. Just gotta call and ask.
