are u a poser???????

are you a poser if you slam your bike chrome it out, custom paint, and just cruise it around?i mean i want to know the definition of a poser.is someone who fixes thier bike up as stated above and dont care what people think of thier investment they made?i mean if i invest into a bike my hard earned cash,im not gonna care what other people think if im a poser or not.in this case buy me a bike and ill do what you want on it.but if im investing over 10 grand alone in mods to the bike ,im gonna take care of it.but if anyone who wants to give the cash to me hey, thats a differesnt story.just my opinion,so what do you all think is a poser?

Who cares what other riders think. Opinions are like booty holes - everybody's got one. You just need to enjoy the women looking at your bike. If a man, especially another rider hates, that's what you want. Even with my older bike, I have pride in my bike, I keep it clean, etc. When I go downtown or anywhere women look at my bike, and some ask to ride with me, these women I never met in my life. Do you think I care what another rider thinks? Just my 2 cents.

if someone else's opinion of you or your bike worries you, then i would think you were a "poser" regardless of the mods, or lack of, done to your bike. I ride the bike i ride b/c I like it, and i like to ride. Personally, i could care less about other's opinions of my bike, but that's just me.

ok heres a question,no offense to anyone, but here goes, everyone who talks about posers, wether its race,or stunt, and they dont do either of them, example,ASI how many guys call people posers and go out ther just to watch?is that posing?Or talking about track racing.but dont go to the track is that a poser as well?well im not into impressing anyone,im out to have a good time and meet some cool peeps.not into trashing my investment.but thats my 2 cents again.

Not sure i follow that question, but ill say a little in response. I guess since I don't care what people think about me or my ol' bike, i don't really judge others b/c of their bikes or how they ride them. I like to watch people stunt, and i like to watch people race, does that make me a poser? Who cares? I ride for me, and no one else.

To me the definition of a "poser" is someone who represents himself as someone he is not, i.e. :

The guy with the 12 bar who can't ride a freeway wheelie yet claims he is Joe Stunna.

The guy with full leathers and race tires on his street bike but has never been to a track day, or has yet runs 2:30's at World but claims he's Joe roadracer.

The guy with the stretched busa with a pro pipe who talks about how fast he is yet always has an excuse why he won't race out at Holmes or Rankin let alone the strip.

The guy with 2 days growth beard and a Harley with a bedroll strapped to it, in new black leathers whose only mileage is riding from Starbucks to Hooters but comes off as Billy Bad Biker.

The BMW idiot who won't wave to you because you're on a bike and can't possibly do long tours, yet you have more miles than he does.

As far as blinging your bike goes, to each his own.
It doesn't matter if you've got the full drag / road race / stunt styled bike, as long as you dig it.
Just don't talk / present your self as someone with abilities you don't have.

you have a friend, you get a bike, then he gets a bike, and all of a sudden he think he knows more than you.but on the low down is asking you questions about stuff.hey,i wasnt born a genius,if i dont know im gonna ask.i just want to know what everybody thinks is a poser.but just my thoughts.

My dad, rest his soul, had a saying; "If you pay attention to what have to say about you, you're going to waste a lot of time in your life."
It took me some time to appreciate his words, but nowadays I don't let too many people really get under my skin, more often than not I'll detach myself and play with someone who thinks he's trying to bother me.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't let what other people think or how they act bother you, as long as you know the truth and are comfortable in your own skin, it really doesn't matter.
