Oil leaked out of my stator cover????

I Just laid the bike down going about 40 mph. the bike has some good rash on the left side. But when I got it back to the house i let it sit for a couple of days and oil leaked out of the stator cover which has some damage to it. I am wondering if this is a bad sign???

Just wondering is that from when it was layed down the oil settled in there and now it is slowly leaking out. It's not leaking no more. I think a total of half a quart or less....

I would say it's WAY less than 1/2 a quart.

ditto on the "sounds like its cracked" same thing happened to me a year ago. its very possible you also have some air in your lines, i did. you might have to crack the oil filter a bit and bump the start button a few times
