shipping a bike?

Somebody is interested in purchasing my bike but would need it shipped to another state. I don't know anything about shipping something as large as a motorcycle and was hoping some of you could tell me what the options are and which would be best.

I doubt Mike would be posting this up if it were a scam...

How about helping instead of spewing off about you know nothing about???

Scorpio would be a good person to ask since he's bought a few bikes from out of state.

no it doesn't look like that. It's a guy in Nigeria who said I could use the bike as collateral in order to get into a money transfer where I stand to make an obscene amount of money.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Martin.

Check out this guy, his name is Steve and he is an agent for this shipping company. I have used them twice and was very happy with their service. You can even see pictures of my Senna being unloaded. Higly recommended door to door insured specialized service in an enclosed "motorcycle only" trailer...all for $600

Enjoy!! Tell him the guy with the MV Sennas sent you.

foward air. they're near intercontinental airport. bring your bike there, they bring out a container, you load it, strap it down and lock it up. you can send the keys or combination to the new owner with the title. we shipped a bike to ohio for 450, but that was almost 3 years ago.

I used Uship.com for my bike from Illinois to Houston. It was $500. They are a website for independent shippers, some of which specialize in motorcycles. I wouldn't trust my bike to a "ship all" company vs one that specializes in motorcycles.
