99 yz-125 facelift project

I've had this bike for about 7 years now and figured time to do some in depth maintenance on it. I started out today just planning on changing the oil, and I ended up taking half the bike apart to replace missing bolts. Now I've figured I would take it down to the bare frame and re-paint it.

Thing I know I need to replace
-Chain set
-Rear tire
-oil drain bolt
-brake pads F&R

Things to do
-Finish stripping everything down
-Sand and paint frame and sub frame
-Paint engine covers
-Paint comtrol levers
-Clean everything
-Grease up everything

Mods already on the bike
-136cc overbore
-Pro Circuit Expansion chamber
-Pro Circuit silencer
-EBC race clutch
-CF reed valve

Thanks, I've already found a few surprises, like the front sprocket nut that I took off by hand.

check your linkage bearings. the last 3 shocks i've taken off have shown dried out bearings.

A few updates, I go the bike most of the way apart yesterday. I then prepped and primed the frame and sub-frame. Then tonight I painted the frame and subframe. I also test painted a pane yesterday, it was a little to humid to paint so it was a little bumpy, but I think it will work fine, the paint bond seems pretty sturdy and seems to flex well.

Oh and years of grime between the skid plate and engine is disgusting.

If you use paint meant for plastic, then it can flex, and if it does get scratched up then in takes about 5minutes to re-paint it.

Updates from today.

Today I got a few small tasks finished
The first thing I did was to clean the engine as much as I could in the dark
Next I dyed the seat with vinyl dye
Third I took apart the front brake caliper to clean it, and found out why my brakes sucked, apparently pads work best when there is still pad material
Lastly I set out all of the parts so that I could get an idea of what still needs to be done.

I also noticed the the rear shock needs to have the spring perch set back, so I need to find a spring compressor.

Oh yeah, I also tried dyeing the airbox black to see how it would work, so far it looks like it should work, so I might dye the plastics instead of using Krylon Fusion.
