took my 04 sti to the evadale drag strip tonight!!

and had a blast. last time i ran it was a year and a half ago bone stock. back then i ran a best of 13.45 @99.3 mph. since then notmuch has been done. k&n drop in down pipe and prodrive axle back exhaust.no tune and 93 pump gas with 3/4 of a tank. tonight i made 7 passes. and i have video. ill post when i find the cables cause for some reason the camera wont finalize the cd.

1st pass. i was js gettn the feel again and i thought my heart was gonna explode. i love that feeling!!

1.9376 60 ft

8.8037 1/8 @ 79.55mph

13.6912 @ 100.29mph side note. i ran a 4 door 4x4 duramax on slicks this pass and he ran 13.3017 @ 105.71

2nd pass

1.9336 60ft

9.1664 1/8et @ 77.52mph

14.1487 @ 94.14mph side note. missed 2nd gear and coasted a few feet before traps

3rd pass

1.7900 60ft

8.5665 1/8 @ 79.82mph

13.4599 @ 99.91mph

4th pass

1.7601 60ft

8.4654 1/8 @80.49mph

13.3137 @ 101.03mph

5th pass

1.8331 60ft

8.5604 1/8 @ 80.71mph

13.3961 @ 101.47mph

6th and best pass of the night and ever!!!

1.7240 60ft

8.3942 1/8 @ 81.17mph

13.2014 @ 102.13mph

7th pass

1.7603 60ft

8.4843 1/8 @ 80.27mph

13.3310 @ 101.15mph

i was super happy with the results. i was just hoping the beat the 13.45 even if by .01 much less by the .25 that i did. anyway i had to tell someone all my friends were asleep so i couldnt tell them

awesome man i remember that feeling when i had my 93 Eclipse GS-T. in the 1/8th it ran 9.3 with the tires spinning thru 1st and 2nd. i swear i trapped at 84mph but your trap speed makes me wonder if it was 74mph. mine was just a 13 sec car maybe cause it was FWD. dont have that car anymore but i have thought about takin the bike to the strip. cheaper but then again i like the turns of a road course

i think there is smthn not %100 about the car. my cel came on 3 days ago. had the codes checked out and it was my air fuel ratio is jacked or smthn. it is surging sometimes. i need it checked by a professional. but i talked to a cpl guys racing tonight and they had basically the same speed in traps and yet they were running high 13's. and i had another friend who races sometimes say that my trap speeds dont add up with my times. any subaru guru's here?

I skipped over the STi part of the title and thought, "That's all he could do on a Busa, , I was goin faster than that on a 550 back in the '80s"?

That sounds like fun, thanks for the writeup.

what size exhaust and DP are you running?
Just re read, and saw that you dont have a tune, thats probably your problem.
notice any black smoke or exccesive suit on your tailpipe. Not a subie guru, but if your running a 3" on most imports you'll need a custom tune for that badboy.

that was me and i suppose that was u on the really slow black zx 14? j/k
i do miss having the bike on the track. back in 02-03 i was at the track alot on an 01 gsxr 1k. lowered strapped full m4 tune with yosh box bmc tre
-1 down in front stock rear foot shiftting 230 suited my best was 10.15 i cant remember the mph. ive still nvr been in the 9's. it used to drive me nuts that i was so close. i was running consistant 10.20's. but back then i was a super broke kid.

, thats a 60' ing little right there..... 1.72... WOW... If I could get that 1.72 60 outta my G8 it would be running 12.60s-12.70s...

I bet those little STIs are a blast on the street, racing from street light to street light..

i had a racer from the subie forum tell me with my mods i should be doin
12.70's. he also said 13.20 is average of what it can do. of course i guess a stock 600cc bike is capeable of 9's with the right rider. and im reffering to ricky gadson doin 9.98 on an 05 r6 that was only lowered and -1 down in front. practice practice practice
