It lives thread

guess Ill start a new one and go throught he tuning and dyno results here.
anyways, it lives.
clicky the linky for short avi. forgive the cheesy quality, we will do better tomorrow with a better camera.

http://www.muddyjeep.com/images/2-9-06 It lives.MPG

what ya think? it flys like a gazel, smooth, not a tire melter, just smooth pull and hang on when 3.5-4k comes around

I could drill the slide and lighten the spring to get the slide out of the way quicker, hence build boost even faster, but havent played with that part of the tune yet.
Am running a 42 low and a 180 main and a n-65 shimmed. and at WOT 3rd gear pull to 6.5k the AFR is 13.3

I put about 50 miles on it today tinckering and tuning

cleaner photos of the build up at www.muddyjeep.com/turbo_update.htm

I'm doing the tuning on it. I have a wideband installed and have it pretty close now, I still wanna lean it out a smidgen more, and will do that via removing a shim in the needle. at wot its at 13.3, thats pretty safe tune and still hauls, but I would like to see low 14 high 13 at wot. then the dyno #'s will be what they will be. Im not going there for tuning, just hop on and do a couple pulls, one with the air cleaner and one w/o.
I'm expecting in the range of 500 - 800 HP at 7k rpms. maybe a few thousand foot pounds of torque too. I hope I'm not being to optimistic.

hahahhaha, actually, it runs smooth and flawless, I can twist the wrist less than a 1/4" and I can go through the gears at a brisk pace. It performs great all ranges, I'm still working on a high idle problem and I think it has to do with the MAP sensor, not sure yet. Its not a constsnt thing so its hard to diagnose yet.

make sure he sees the vid, he may wanna be a customer Its way cheaper then the traditional method of HP in the HD circles and provides way more power than the normal route also. Not a rice killer by far since it weighs 550#, but in the Harley circles, Ima kick some serious :laughing6

sweet work man. I'm going to have to get new heads and cams put in to even think about trying to keep up with you now.

I should probably just get you to do a turbo for me if i ever want more power.
