08 GSXR 600 mid pipe

i got a buddy who is lookin at getting a power commander and asked me about getting a mid pipe to replace the converter. anyone have input on this? wont there be a MIL light? i know on cars usually the power commander allows certain check engine codes to be disabled. is this the same with a bike? also anyone know of anyone who can bend/weld this pipe on? thanks for your help!

Im sure any muffler shop could do the rest.

Yoshi's full exhaust systems come without a cat. Find instructions for one of these kits, and it will show you the wiring changes necessary to fix this.
