Usually when something does not work "all of a sudden" it's electrical.
Check the fuses, battery cables, RR.

Check your battery with a multimeter. If it's below 13 volts, its low. This can be caused by two things.

1. Battery is bad.
2. Rectifier/regulator is bad (the electrical part that converts AC voltage from your stator to DC volts for the battery).
4. Main starting fuse is bad.
3. Something else is fried.

To check the rectifier. Start the bike (push start it or give it a jump) and check the volts while it's running @ idle and @ 5k rpm. At idle the voltage on the battery should be around 13 volts. At 5k rpm it should be 14-15v.

Ya thats what I was thinking...try putting it in like 3rd gear, holding down the clutch, and run down the street with it. When it gets to about 8mph pop the clutch and it should start. If it does then its definitely electrical or that is my understanding. Guys please correct me if I am wrong.

you probably have some type of short, and the rain helped bridge a gap to ground.

That's what I'm thinking. Check all your connections, and look for frayed wires around the neck
