Well the comments all say it was something else and all seem to be experts. I dont know for sure, but it doesn't look like a piston, air box piece ,air tube, or part of a head on the ground.

Btw it did not blow his hand off...lol. It did give him some nice chest compression though.

Robert that's how you leave on the dope right there....wot on the line, dope spraying...or trying to in his case. Obviously it was an engine bog that caused the backfire.

Remember Brock was the first one into the 7s on a streetbike... Big nitrous,1500'cc Bandit.

Scared money has no home. I am pretty sure that statement applies in this case.

I wrote the following in a PM ? about my nitrous set up. I figured it was so long that I would post it here. There was a time when this would have helped me with the decisions.

( when esked the dyno #) The nitrous is programmed to hit at 6K RPM . It shot up exactly at the 6K mark. I have it tuned for 11.8 AFR on the spray. The tune is set for 12.8 for the street. I will give you the break down on a system I set up.

It has an MPS spider kit with 4 jets. The kit mounts in the air box and shoots the liquid state nitrous straight down the throttle bodies. It's 4 s/s .125" tubes have their own jets. The ramp rate % , RPM widow, and TPS settings ect. are controlled by a Dynotune Nitrous Controller (Nearly the exact same product as NOS's higher priced unit). The controller tells the solenoid when to when fire. When the signal to fire is transmitted on the + output, it also operates a relay with the - output. I found the + output to be less voltage the the -. I did not trust the lower voltage to operate the relay with confidence. The relay is wired in as a map switch. The nitrous map is auto switched. This way I can't forget to switch them and melt the motor. It also lets me have a perfect AFR no matter if its spraying through the 6K-10K 100% throttle window or not.
I did have a regulator plumbed in. It was expensive and I had with it. I use a Dynotune Nitrous bottle heater to regulate the bottle pressure ( tuned at 900 PSI). It has a pressure sensor that triggers the heater at a setting of my choice. I realized that I don't need a regulator that leaks. I can do it all with the bottle heater. I did realize that PTFE tape is no good for a system with tiny .18 jets. It clogs easy. The bottle sits in a hole in the front of the McIntosh Alumastreet swingarm. It is sealed and plumbed for air. I already had a high pressure shifter and stuck with it.It has a Cycle-Tech air shifter that is wired to the BazzazQS. The pressure sensor on the quick shifter detects the shift pressure and triggers the ignition kill by the Bazzaz (by foot or air ram). The air shifter is triggered by hitting the horn button. I can switch it off and just use my foot as a normally operating quick shifter and still use the horn. The kill time is set at a low .45ms. The s/s valves are Gen 1 Busa. The springs are APE 65#. From my experience the stock spring won't take a well tuned 36hp shot. The web will convince you 08's are fine all day long at 40. The shim mine spit says otherwise.
