Truth be told it's just a saying. I work on them as well as work in an establisment for ducati only and we all own one. And I'm lost. You said it was mine and your opinion but if you look back. Your giving information gathered from hear say of "friends/people that sell them/work on them". Maybe they couldn't afford one or had a bad day with one. But, None of those people are you. Which part was your opinion. I'm basing my statements on the fact that I ride my ducati daily. Rain sleet snow (when were lucky) and sunny. It's comfy and I have yet had any issues with it. I know I'd prefer a ferrari over a honda.

Which part was my opinion? My post was my opinion. I was just stating what my mechanic/ salesmen buddies feelings are toward ducatis. Sounds like you've been pretty lucky with your bike. That's cool, but that's just my opinion on those bikes. I would never buy one. I would ride one if one was given to me, but never buy one.

good luck on your purchase, I love ducatis and will not change it for any other bike, well the new Aprilia RSV4 Factory and the BMW S1000RR are some other bikes to consider, but none of the bikes you mentioned are considered as commuter bikes, buy a Multistrada, Hypermotard just to mention the Duc's if you want to commuter

I love my Streetfighter. I commute from The Woodlands to 8 and 290 almost every day. I have nothing to compare it with though.
