the 1098S I rode back home was absolutely awesome,
the brakes and front end were the best I've experienced.
the noise was captivating and the engine was a monster,
I hated the way the top cowling viabrated at idle but I would buy one in a heartbeat if able.
Didn't ride it long enough to comment on comfort.

Don't like the looks of the FZ1, considering the speed triple, don't like the looks of the monster, strongly considering a tuono (I miss my RSV), considering an SV, but it doesn't have as many of the wizz-bang features as some of its competitors (although it is cheaper).

Also looking at the Arpilia Shiver, Aprilia Dorsoduro, an R1, ducati hypermotard, DRZ400SM, KTM duke 690, and a ktm supermoto

I'd love a motard but not in Houston or in Texas or Florida. We have to many straights....

The SV is prob the best street and track bike I've yet to own. It was reliable, cheap, and the handling was excellent. It's fun sneaking up on 600/1000 on a naked sv and smoking them on 3090 or at the track. The look on the rider's face when they are in T7 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) getting passed by a fat dude on a bright yellow bikes is PRICELESS!!!

Buy an SV and set it up well

Well like I said. This is really just a commuter bike. I have a '04 gixxer6 trackbike already. I just need something to do 70mph in the HOV, and dodge traffic on. So the fact that a tard is done by 90 really doesn't hamper my fun at all. I just want something thats not going to leave me with a sore because traffic backed up one morning.

Fixed it for you.

No one should buy a Ducati Superbike with the word *comfort* in mind. They aren't built for comfort, they are built as racebikes FIRST - and converted into streetbikes. Anything that would make them street legal is done as an after thought; the kickstand, the lights, the plates, etc.

Now, if you wanted to know about the MultiStrada, KTM SuperDuke, Aprilia Tuono, Triumph SpeedTriple, THEY are built more as an all around litre.

Alot of crazy talk here. I owned a 748. Loved it. Rode it everyday and even got a few trips to Austin. Now realistically. We don't have our bikes because they couple the sac. We all like to go fast . I will point out that a Sargent seat on the 848 and up will satisfy your rear end. Plus you've got the torque and sexy sound to keep your mind off your going numb

Ps ride a 1198. It'll sway your mind like crazy. The street fighter is cool. But you know the street fighter is not designed to go to fast :( it'll blow you right off it

Actually, I have friends that work on and sell Ducatis at the dealerships and they hate those bikes. If you ask them why they suck, you might as well take a seat and get a cup of coffee becuase there's alot to be said. Point i'm making is not even the majority of people that sell them or work on them for a living would not buy them.

I could afford one and I still think they suck. That's a crappy statement and far from the truth.

But that's just my opinion and yours.
