Talking BEWARE OF THE NIGHT RIDERS SE

Apparently there seems to be an addiction for some people here in Houston, to go ridding at night, and race all over, running from the law, ect... My house is right next to 45 and i can hear it all night long.

It has been 3 weeks and I keep seeing these people pulled over, crashed going to jail, bike towed every freakn night.

The problem is these people are
1. Lonely
2. adrenalin junkies

And they always get unexperienced (baby) riders to tag along and influence these baby riders to push their limits.

The baby riders don't understand that there fellow rider has no intention of pulling over for the cops. So guess who gets the ticket or crashes. Baby riders.

I just want to send a little wisdom out to all the new riders.

1. If the person/group you are going with seems be going over the speed limit or faster than your comfortable, Just pull away from the person/group and enjoy you ride at a relaxed pace.

2. Remember no moto endorsement on license, or insurance or legal plates and over the speed limit, 98% going to jail and bike getting towed no cheap insurance for a long time. 1% just gets ticket and 1% gets warning

3. Evading cops and getting caught 100% going to jail and bike impound

4. If you cant afford Full coverage insurace. Just get liability its like 200 for the year. Just depends on age but its pretty affordable. point is cover your A$$.

5. Get a motorcycle endorsment. The test is almost idiot proof. Almost. If your serious about getting the endorsment Im sure there are plenty of people on moto houston that would help you out and go with an insured bike for the test.

6.Don't break the law unless you are willing to pay. I have been riding 12 years had 3 wrecks and 2 tickets. Trust me your gonna pay somehow.

7. Go to the track, GO TO THE TRACK, GO TO THE TRACK, GO TO THE TRACK
and learrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn .

8. Stay away from Adrenalin junkies.

9. LEARN TO BRAKE PROPERLY. This will SAVE YOUR LIFE.

10. Learn to work on your bike. If you work on your bike then you will know exactly how far you can push your bike and still be safe.

The basic things to learn that you can read about and do it your self.

A.)Changing tires
B.)Adjusting Chain- Changing Chain and sprockets
C.)Changing brakes and Bleeding brakes
D.) Oil Change
E.) Coolant

These wont make you a master mechanic but it sure will save you $$$money and it will help your bike to perform like it was designed to. It will open your eyes to understanding your bike and you will develope a sense of knowing what your bike needs.

Sorry this post isn't consistent but im just tired of meeting new people to ride with and then they disappear because of some of these issues. Stay safe everyone

Night time riding in itself is alot more dangerous since you have less time to react to situations on approach.

But, even if you are riding with a group and a few are speeding and decide to run and you pull over you shouldnt get the ticket for it right ?

I agree. Don't race the streets. Don't push yourself to impress the chick that's on the the back of someone elses bike. Don't forget to wear gear. I see the new guys try to hard. Screw everyone else and their pace. If you go to fast people can't see your bike. The slower you go the better chance in getting laid. I've had my fun. Just joking, or am I?

i mostly ride at night as i cant say i always do the speed limit i always wear my gear and always pull over for a leo.. i have no wish or endeavor to become a statistic or greasy spot.. i started on dirt bikes many years ago. and now im riding street bikes.. young guys that have not been rideing long please please talk to these experienced riders. please talk and ask questions to these riders that have been down dirt or street with no gear. you might think your hot chit now but when your ground meat you just look like ground meat.. wear your gear it will save your and your life.. last but not least remember STUPID HURTS!!!!!

you will get the ticket and might go to jail for evading since you are part of the group and they caught you. You can fight it and it will be dismissed but it will cost you and nothing you can do about it, trust me.
