i only remember one question - and that was from when I took the test 10 years ago- Drive as perpendicular to the railroad tracks as possible while still remaining in your lane. And there is a motorcycle-specific handbook.

read the handbook

I failed the test the 1st time I took it because I didnt read it; I thought I could wing it.

remember the questions on the written test from MSF? Those are pretty much the same ones on the DPS test.

BTW don't stress too much, b/c once you get so many right they just stop the test b/c you can't fail

on the written test they ask some random question on how to carry a load. that was the only one i got wrong. Carefully read the question...they like to move words around.

ditto. it's a pretty simple test, but i do recommend you get the motorcycle handbook.. its thin, its free.

the test is common sense questions like crossing railroad tracks at a right angle, watching out for opening doors from parked cars, keeping the weight off a flat tire......

after taking the test you'll be embarrassed you even gave it a second thought. if you can drive a car then you can pass the test. basic traffic stuff. don't worry
