Supermoto in Houston?

Is there a club or a group that race supermoto in Houston. Does anyone ride in a parking lot? I might just make a few visits to see if I can get a supermoto race series around here or in other part of Texas.

Welcome to the board.
Theres a few of us, but the numbers are growing.
I'm always down for any kind of riding, whether it be messing around in the lots, tearing up the backroads, or trackdays.

Thinking about putting together a tard meet/ride.
Look for it in the events section pretty soon.

I'm in Houston and my bike is not street legal. A parking lot event would be cool. Maybe someone owns a business that has a huge parking lot that we can race on. We can buy some cones at Northern Tool, put our names on them and bring them out to each event.

well...you could ride to 3 palms...and then run a lap...then get back out onto the frontage road...

or you could ride your bike to SHNF...and then ride the woods...

but no road-track/dirt-track combo.

We could always make some ramps from wood. That's what the AMA did for a race down in Galveston at a parking lot.

There's a small track in Louisiana I'm giving thoughts on trying out, no dirt sections though, but cheap nonetheless.

I saw that thread somewhere. Some city park where you leave a deposit and it costs $25 a day if there is not a race going on. Maybe we can all go there for a Saturday?

A whole wharehouse full..

Accually those ramps were made out of metal at Moody Gardens. I know i used them.. The AMA rented them from some guy for an outragous amount... It is sad we dont have any places around here. I always have to go outa town to race. When i do. Grandsport is working on something ...

there is also this parking lot that I see a MSF or MSF-like class instructed in. We could probably set some cones up in there like we are allowed to be there.

I'm sure there is a company somewhere just outside of Houston that will let us ride there because the property owner rides bikes. We just have to find that person and not leave beer cans lying around. Maybe an airport around town. Everyone agrees not to sue if they get hurt and be responsible (helmets, leathers and boots). Maybe Gulf Greyhound Park? We can take up a collection and geive them a couple hundred bucks for their insurance??? Maybe $25 a person???
