Icon riding pants are in your future Wayne. About $90. There will be plenty of room for them then. I have 2 pairs and you are more than welcome to try one on. Don't know if they will fit you though.

Just ordered a pair of these:

I don't like the idea of not having a strap above the knee. Anyone else have these already? Hopefully they fit under jeans and fit comfortably.

I put about 300 miles on them yesterday. Simonton Blvd, 1458, 359, 3090, and 149. The pads were a little akward at first. After a while though I got used to having them on. Didn't even think about them being there until I would stop. I admit they aren't the most comfortable thing to walk around in. They are preformed to be bent a little at the knee so standing straight legged puts pressure above your knee a little bit.

ride2die.com is a good site for anyone to take a look at. I go on it once in awhile just to remember what can happen out there.

After reading this I finally got some knee protection. They are more for off road use but I liked how they fit and they have aluminium bars that flex to give your knees support and keep them from hyperextending which helps cause I have a knee. Plus I got them for 60% off woot so they weren't that much more then the alpinestars.

Has a velcro strap around the calf and another around the thigh. The straps are wide so you can put them on tight and they are still comfortable
