This thread got me thinking so I took a trip out to Motorcycles Unlimited and picked up a pair of the a*'s. This things are pretty comfy and go on and off easy. Walking around isn't a problem. I had never been to Motorcycles Unlimited, it was a real pleasure and I got a motohouston discount taboot.

Good. Anybody that rags on anyone else for wearing more gear needs a healthy dose of karma.

I wear Forcefield Body Armour knee pads. I like their "Soft Armour Technology", so they're comfortable and offer excellent impact protection.

That should do the job. Make sure they are comfortable though.
You don't want to be giving yourself excuses for not wearing them. . .

I always wear mine. I have the Alpinestars Bionic knee guards... little more pricey but I consider it worth it. My brother's reconstructive knee surgery made this one a no brainer.

Squoddy made me get these shin guard things with knee pads built on.
They kinda flap around at the top, above the knee. So, If i slide feet 1st - I don't see a problem with them, but if i slide face 1st - they are going to fold down and leave the knee ball exposed.
is that normal? should i get different ones ? or invest in duct tape?
I don't know - so I gotta ask
Try wearing them under your pants. They should stay in place better.

Most people wear them under jeans/pants for that reason. Dainese makes some nice ones that have three straps, two on the bottom and one above the knee. The only downside is they cost $70.00, which really doesn't seem like that much to me.
