IMO, doesn't matter what brand you wear as long as you wear them. kneepads for sure on spirited rides, anything more than spirited and its time for leathers.

if you order online, and have big rock hard legs like me, the A* pads seem to have the longer straps to accomodate all that muscle.

I have a nice set of A* I bought and only wore a handful of times. They articulate around your knee and what not. If anybody wants some, I'll consider selling mine.

I just bought a set of Fox tian pro knee pads... they cover the shins too...69 bucks..never worn knee pads before. got those and the chest, back, kidney belt, elbow and forarm protection jacket.

I bought some from Motorcycles Unlimited and started wearing them after seeing another rider at a Central meet with them. I wasn't aware of their existence before then. I believe that rider was you.
