HELP!!!

2004 636

im working on a 04 636 and the bike will shift first and nuetral but wont shift up 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th?

i know the 03-04's had a notorious problem with the internal shift rod and shift forks, does anyone have any idea or any helpful advice?

It may be the shift star mechanism, but it's probably the transmission.

Not shot.
Depending on your mechanical skill it's not too bad.
the engine has to come out of the frame and the cases have to be split.
The trans and forks will need to be inspected and the bad parts replaced.
The cases then need to be reassembled and the engine reinstalled.
