Looking to buy a new Helmet. Suggestions?

I have a bunch of old ones lying around, but I don't seem to like any of them. I bought my ex g/f an Arai, and it is great, but if I leave it on for more than 10 minutes it feels like my head is going to pop... Anyway, I would like to spend around 4-500 max and would like something that is comforatable and has good ventilation(I ride a lot, and Houston summers are HOT as I'm sure most of you know.)
Give me some ideas/reviews of helmets you guys like.
Thanks
Chris

What dealer do you recomend? Most that i've been too don't have the great of a selection, plus I can't really test out the flow of the helmet...
I tried on a Suomy a while back, and loved the feel of the helmet, just wish they let me take it out on a test ride

there are diff arai shapes for diff heads. i will only wear arai or shoei.

www.cyclegear.com has prolly the largest selection in town. 3 stores in town, and they have a 30 day guarantee that if you don't like it, you can return it and trade or get store credit.

I went to cycle gear today, and reallly liked the Shoe RF1000... My only problem was it fealt that the XL was slightly big, and the L was small. The XL may work with thicker cheak pads, but I dunno. Also, they would sell me one at the new location with a 20% discount ($363)....
They also had the X-11 which didn't feel much better than the RF1000(the RF-1000 actually fealt slightly better on my head), and the Arai didn't fit me even in the XL size.
I then went next door to see if they had any Suomy helmets(ducati dealer), but to my luck nothing nearly large enought to try on. The interior of the suomy helmet fealt much nicer though.... Wish I had one I could try on before I decide to purchase.....
Cycle gear told me I could order on and if I didn't like it, could swap it within 30 day for the XL RF1000... I am just really impatient.

It's easier for you to try on helmets than me. Try having a small head, hardly anyone carries a variety of small helmets. It's mainly M, L, and XL

We do.
It also sounds like the shape of your skull may not work well with a Shoei. If you want to come by we can get you fitted correctly and advise you on the helmets that will fit you best.

I'm sorry if you received incorrect information.
I have several Suomys in stock, on the wall, right now.
A suspension setup takes less than 30 minutes.

i'm wearing a xL on both shoei and suomy, but the suomy does fit a lil more snug than the shoei, but not enough for it to not fit.
