I didn't like my first couple of sessions because I was the only rider not an I4 600 (I was on Ninja 500) and I kept getting passed on the straight by people that had significantly lower corner-speed than me. I always had to go in slower than I could go because you weren't allowed to pass in level 1. Then after lunch, I moved to level 2 and everything was instantly better. still got passed on the straight, but wouldn't run up on people mid-corner. Love them now, so maybe a waste of a post.

I have only riden NOOB track days and the only issue I experienced is that alot of the riders in the noob class did not seem very "noobish" made for alot of faster riders and therefore I had to be a bit more cautious being that I ride a 250. Actually got side swiped by another member but was so slight that niether of us were affected. Other than that the track experience is the best riding experience you can get. imo.

I love it, thats not to say that I haven't had any bad experiences, there are companies that I will not ride with again but I have my reasons for that, and Im not going to bash sponsors. My only gripe is traffic really but that has just made me better at passing. I am not on a SS but still have tons o fun on the old SV

Track vs. Street:

*Safety: It is safer to crash at the track.
*Speed: Guess some people like riding 45 mph, just not for my taste.
*Learning: you will learn more with one TD than what you would learn for a few thousand miles in the street.

So yeah, that is why they say: Once you go track you never go back.

Wanna ride good and fast? Do what good and fast riders do.

Wanna stunt? Do what stunters do.

I try to emulate the people I wanna be like.

Just more out of curiosity really. I don't know how you cannot like it. Just trying to see if there was anyone who didn't and never went back and the reason behind it. Not looking for a whole lot of no's, ya know.

My first few sessions at my first trackday were a little nerve racking but after lunch the nerves were gone and I was singing in the straights and smiling in the turns.

I still get nervous before the first session. But I love the feeling so that is what keeps me coming back.

I'm guessing that for the people who aren't confident with their skill level/ bike control, it could be a little on the nerve racking side. When you're on the track, as most of you know, the actions you do have to be second nature, you dont think about it, you just do it, you get into a rythmn...

If you aren't confident in leaning the bike to do its job and hesitate, accidents can happen and the day won't seem fun.... my 2 cents

I've been on the track and didn't really care for it. I had to think too much. I like riding to relax. and i can do that for free on the street, track is too expensive. and since i know it's coming, i don't ride on the street in traffic to relax, i take it out to nice country roads and cruise.

I didn't like it the first time I rode on the track! Took me over 6 months before I had the nerve to try it again! After my second day I was hooked! 4 years and 70 track days later. Here I am!

I had a girlfriend that rode that first day with me. She did very very well, but has never had the desire to ride track again.Everyone rides for different reasons! Who care as lond and you are ridding!
