To a point. A car has a much lower drag coefficient than a bike. A standard, non-streamlined bike will need a much higher HP-weight ratio to break 200mph than a car will.

Lol that's what I usually do. I know there are cars that can easily beat my bike but I'm out for the experience on a bike. I have a modded Camaro and have beat a few bikes but I just hate driving compared to riding. I usually say to myself that if you think your car is awesome compared to my bike, then you haven't enjoyed the same experience I have.

A 600hp full-weight vette can break 200. You'll need 225 hp in a busa to do the same.

edit - sources say a 475 hp vette should do it.

Well what's the C6 Z06 top out at? 19X? So what, a gearing change? Fo sho cars have a lower coefficient of drag. Heck look at the Busa, don't the liter bikes have as much HP(???), but are less aerodynamic.

Just pointing out that a car w/ same hp/weight as a bike will out MPH the bike all day.

not to point out the obvious, but how many people drag on the street up to 200 mph? a car can hit 200 mph easier maybe, but I thought we were talking stoplight and freeway racing not salt flat stuff...

Which is the golf ball and which the brick? a car has a much lower drag coefficient than a bike. a bike is like a brick at speed.

stock 10r vs 800whp supra

then again 800whp = maybe 900~ or so at the crank, something you don't really run into on the streets all that often, and at lower speeds they seem pretty evenly matched up. don't know if anyone races on public freeways at those speeds, and again we're talking about a stock bike vs a car that has probably invested well over $20k apart from the price of the car itself. it kinda goes both ways

A bike will usually get there much faster than the car, bikes will hit 180 in 11-12 seconds and will typically take a car way longer to get there, I raced a heavily modded viper that had more top speed than my busa but I was soo far ahead it would have taken him 10 miles to catch up, If he kept it pinned for that long, not many drivers will do that its usually just a quick burst and then let off, I have yet run into a car that beat me, I know there out there but I have not ran into one ever, and there are bikes alot faster than mine now
