I like it when the rev at you and you kinda look over and give em the ol "apathetic stare" and when the light turns and they take off MATCH their speed for a little while, then drop a gear a take off from then on a wheelie

You got a lot to learn about cars if you think cars can't hang with bikes....

Not all can, but I know of a few that will run with bikes all day everyday...

What all do you have done to your Cobra? I'm getting a Vortech V3 in the coming weeks for my 08 GT.... won't run with most bikes, but should be good for low 12s on drag radials.

My buddy had a turbo'd 07 GT with about 460rwhp... some lady t-boned him 2 weeks ago and totaled his car. He's now looking at getting an 03 Cobra and putting on a twin turbo.

Idunno, I just like bikes. I have a nice car and every time I drive it I wish I was on my bike instead. Except during really bad weather and even sometimes then too. As for speed? Show me a $10,000 car that can keep up with a liter bike and I'll.....still rather ride the bike.

A very select few.....and even fewer that can do it in a REAL drag race.

Unless it's an older 600 and he can't shift, you'll get owned. One of my '03s put down 100hp more than you are and it still couldn't take a liter bike. Hehe

f2

the f2 was sold long ago just never changed the name. I upgraded to an r1 but even on the f2 it would not be too hard to smoke a lot of the idiots out there. It's never the car with real that want to race it's usually the kid who just got a front mount on his talon, or the typical turbo rx7 that thinks he could take you and I say no cuz it's a waste of time. and why take the risk.of some stupid kid getting loose and into you.

the fact that it bothers you to the point of you feeling you have to prove yourself with your bike in a straight line that makes me laugh. I had friends that use to feel that way against my busa when we rode and they ended up in a ditch trying to follow my couch through corners. Ride it to your abilities not to someone else's desires.

I just ignore them or give them this with my left hand as they ride along side me. Honestly, its not worth the time or the gas to inflate their ego that I even acknowledged them.

i've noticed most 500whp cars can hang/beat 600's from a roll. when it comes to liter bikes they need around 600-700 whp. anything higher than that and the bike doesn't stand a chance in high speeds where aerodynamics come into play.

and for the people that chime in and say "oh well i'm faster than cars in the corners bla bla bla.."

4 fat 265 size tires + 4 big brakes > 2 skinny tires + 2 brakes (well.. 3 if you count the two rotors in the front). been proven several times, but also dependent on the course as well, but avg driver > avg rider.

with that said, bikes are still a lot more fun but my coworker always gives me bc he runs 1:59 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) in his s2000 on street tires =O he has some $$ suspension and brakes, but just an intake and exhaust as power adders which are good for maybe 10 whp.

I don't think this is a stupid thread...I have raced cars..only because they me off thinking a weak car would take my 1k...now if it was a lambo or something like that...would'nt even try..lol..but it's food for thought cuz most of the times I don't like getting into that foolishness.
