Any bike without a cooling fan on the radiator or oil cooler for the oil cooled bikes. I know the oil cooled gsxr engine and the katana oil cooled engines can have problems once from the oil getting to hot.

All katanas are oil cooled and a quick search of wikipedia shows that 85 - 92 gsxr engines were oil cooled. I dont know as much about the gsxr so I dont know how acurate that info is.

even present day kats are oil cooled?

* i think only the first gen kats were oil cooled like the GSXR of the time.

pretty much all current day bikes are water/oil cooled.

You can also include a large number of harleys as being air cooled, but I dont think many of them can fit down between cars.

Also the same bikes I listed above dont have cooling fans.

All the kats used the same engines whether 600,750 or 1100 since they came to the US.

Texas 81st Legislature ó SB 506: Lane Splitting for Motorcycles
UPDATE (March 18)

Good news out of the Transportation and Homeland Security committee:

I just contacted my Senator, Kirk Watson, and found out that he voted in favor of the bill and that the bill has been reported favorably by the Transportation committee. SB 506 is now available for placement on the Senate calendar. A calendar is a list of bills and resolutions that are scheduled to be considered by the full house or senate.

______________________

ACTION ALERT: If you have a vested interest in lane splitting for motorcycles in Texas, SB 506 is scheduled for a public hearing tomorrow by the Senate Committee on Transportation & Homeland Security at the state capitol building.

If you cannot go to the public hearing tomorrow, call your state senator and tell them you want them to support this bill ó a bill, by the way, which costs the state and tax payers nothing to implement.

Contact information can be found here: http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/senate/Members.htm.

My senator, Kirk Watson (R) is the Vice Chair of this committee and Iíll be calling his office first thing in the morning.

Good post I'm really excited to see it got this far. People, call your rep! This is actually the first time that lane splitting would be officially recognized in LAW, (CA doesn't expressly legalize it, just doesn't forbid it). This is a major step EVEN IF YOU WON'T SPLIT for bikers rights. Also, how about cruising up to the front of a mile long of traffic at a light right to the front when its 100 degrees? :-) We could all use that.
