Well....got the bike, and it's great. Unfortunately, I took a spill the first day. It was nothing bad; both me and the bike are ok. Frame slider snapped off but the fairings are all in tact, save for a few scratches. I got a slight scrape on my forearm and knee, but not too bad. Essentially, I spent too much time psyching myself out and got nervous and twitchy once the bike finally came out. So taking a turn from a stop my hand slipped off the clutch and jerked pretty good...so in more of a panic mode tried to straighten my self out, putting me on a trajectory straight towards the curb, and once I saw that I focused on the curb (instead of where I wanted to go) and sure enough that's where I wound up going. I learned a lot from it all...just wish it would have happened differently. Either way, I've put in about 3 or so hours of seat time in since then and it feels great. I still can't wait to take the class and really get into it.

Anyhow, thanks for all the welcomes and hopefully I'll get to meet some of you sometime. Sorry I won't be able to show a perfect bike though. Live and learn.

Dude, park that bike until you take the MSF. Your off to a rough start. Follow the other good advice (that is about to come) before you get REALLY hurt or even killed. Be smart. BTW if have any questions or need help with the bike, I can help. I know that bike upside down and inside out. I also have a service manual on a PDF file I can send you.

Oh, and welcome.

Thanks, man. I definitely don't plan on doing any major riding until the MSF. Most of everything I did was in parking lots, trying to get really good with throttle and clutch control. But yeah, if you wouldn't mind sending me that PDF, that would be great.

Yeah, for sure. It's definitely a bit more responsive than my dad's cruiser I first "learned" to ride on.
