Newbie from Houston, galleria area

Hey, all. Yup, complete newbie here. New to the boards and new to riding in general. Just bought my first bike this weekend - magma red 2005 Kawasaki zx-6r. Hopefully picking it up tomorrow once I get insurance squared away. I'm pretty excited.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Who would have thought Houston could be so friendly!

And welcome to the nut house new guy.
Ha, I'm sure he meant to keep it under 10k just because I'm new and he doesn't want me killing myself, lol. But I agree with him. Definitely intend on taking it easy for a couple months.

thats how i learned.
I know basically the mechanics of it. I've ridden my dad's bike (cruiser) around the neighborhood, so I'm confident enough to get the bike back home from the dealer, which is less than 5 miles away, but I definitely want to take the MSF course the first open weekend they have.

Thanks...you know at first I wanted black and/or silver...magma red was just what I could afford at the time...but it's starting to grow on me the more I see it and think about riding it.
