anyways what color is your bike? post pics!

I plan on keeping this bike for a while... I plan to get my moneys worth from the bike... I got the bike I liked that I think I will enjoy in the long run... I want something that I will be happy in 5 or 10 years from now...

BTW it is Lime Green... I will post pics when I get some...

here is my last post on this... I like the bike... I bought the bike... I am going to be careful with the bike... All I asked was the right way to break it in... I didn't ask for a lecture... Thank you for everyone who gave me good advice as to how to break it in...

Watch out for them haters! I bought my first bike brand new I don't see the problem if its my money. I'll do what I want! If these haters had the extra money they would do it also!

Anyways I break my bikes in according to the manual to some degree. I don't think anywhere in the manual it says anything about babying the bike. It says to vary the loads to ensure the mating process. So I varied the acceleration and deceleration by "getting on it", but I made sure not to go over 6k RPMs for XXXmiles and then 8k RPMs for xxxmiles. My latest bike runs great.

Changing the oil will be the most important thing to do. Its never too early to change it!

I got my 1st bike brand new, never dropped it and broke it gently. I've heard others break em in gently and have problems, but the same could be said w/any method b/c no two bikes are the same

Congrats on the new bike. I bought many bikes new. Thats just me though. If i want a new bike fck its my money you know what i mean. I break all my bikes in the same way. Ride that like i stole it. Changed the oil 100 miles and then 300 then 600. Never had an issue with any bike i have owned. Gear up, be safe and enjoy the new bike.

Welcome again to MH
