Ride it like you stole it!

Change the oil after 600miles, then every 3-4k after that. Other then that... Its a racebike with lights, so be carefull

Ditto, except the oil change part...

You'd be suprised how much (metal shavings and chunks) are in your oil at as low as 20miles.

Change your oil EARLY and often!

This is becoming an everyday thread.... I would recommend following the owners manual for the break in procedure

Don't mind them. It's a legitimate question.

I would change the oil after 100 miles and then follow the manual from there.

Ride it like you stole it. Just dont keep the RPM's constant for a period of time. Shift the gears and ride the bike. I have never had any problems out of any of my bikes breaking them in that way. I changed the oil after 100 miles though, then at 300, then at 600. Im with Pre-K on this one. You will be suprised on how much junck is in your oil pan. Dont hit the red line on it either...

Just my .2

good choice in bike too

Here you go: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

I would def change my oil after 30 miles or so just to get the metal particles out.
