Freakin Dealers

Looking to get a brand new bike. I work on Saturdays and weekdays. What is the deal with dealers closing at 5:00PM on Saturdays and closed on Sundays and Mondays? When am I suppose to shop and buy one? In this economy, you would think they would make their business hours more "consumer" friendly...like closing later on Saturdays after people are off work?

Some dealers are open on Sundays. I know the Yami dealer off 1960 and 249 open on Sundays during the "riding season." Might want to check with them.

just because the economy is low doesn't mean they should be open more often, it costs money to stay open or work overtime. if anything it would be the opposite

they work tuesday through saturday to give people that work weekdays a chance to shop on the weekend. theyre closed sunday and monday because well, they have lives and families they want to see just like everyone else.

I know about the Blue laws... My point is Auto dealerships are open late on Saturdays and Mondays to better accommodate people's schedules. We are the customer's right? They make money from customer's right? Why should I have to accommodate my schedule when I'm the customer? Most other retailers have adjusted, why has the MC industry resisted? Must be business is so good that don't need to modify their hours?

or maybe because there is not enough business to justify staying open longer and more days of the week.

Yes, I have had many used Yamaha. Looking for a new virgin Yamaha this time. Might have to take a day off to buy new. , may as well make a long day trip out of it and buy out of state!

You might want to reconsider that. If you are annoyed at the dealerships you will be pulling your hair out when you have to get it registered from out of state.
