Well I know this is fat fetch but....most choppers (glorified posers) put their license plates to the left of the wheel...your license plate only needs to be able to be seen by the left, middle and right sides so it looks as if ur ok...

The rule is it must be visible and readable if an Officer is directly behind
you and it must have a white light on it. They didn't say anything about
it being sideways though.
Also the Inspection Sticker just has to be on your bike somewheres and
presentable at the Officers request.

You may call the Highway Patrol Office and ask to speak to a Motorcycle Officer and ask him questions concerning this issue:
281-517-1200

PS: They will also tell you that a regular Car Officer that does not know the exact rules on bikes may give you a ticket but you may have it dismissed in
court.

Sideways if fine for motorcycles I believe.

Harley makes and sells them that way to be mounted on the left side of the wheel. They even bend them to match the curve on the tire. You should be fine.

If you get pulled over just tell the cope you will fix it right away and he will probably let you slide.

Tell the cop that you put is sideways so that "when you go down it will be easier to read."

Unless you are acting like an idiot nobody is going to care. That is my opinion. If I can get away with no plate I am sure you will pass with that.

I don't know if it's legal or if the cop just didn't care, but I've been pulled over by highway patrol with my plate mounted like yours and only got a ticket for speeding. He never said anything about the plate.

Just remember, that doesn't necessarily make it legal. Motorcycle companies make all kinds of that you put on streetbikes, but that have that little magic phrase somehere on the package: "not legal for road use."

Not saying it is or isn't, just saying that doesn't prove that it is legal...

At the least I would say get a light as soon as possible. I think that your plates are cool and original.
