Thumbs down One less event for 2009 in MotoGP.

First less bikes now this. I guess WSBK will be the hotter than MotoGp this year.

From the MotoGP page:

"There are no plans to replace the race with another Grand Prix event, reducing the calendar for the year to seventeen rounds"

Rumors.... Rumors

from Auto Racing Daily.

"Rumours suggest that the impressive new Portimao circuit in Portugal could replace the Balatonring event, but that would probably require a calendar reshuffle since Estoril is due to host the Portuguese Grand Prix directly after Hungary on October 4."

I think this should be the writing on the wall for those still in doubt. Motgp is on its way out, I would give it a max of 5 yrs and thats a stretch until you see motogp racing disapear as a whole.
