True... the track is not the smoothest in the world, but I think the video is somehow amplifying things a bit. When I first rode Oak Hill, I hated it... couldn't believe we were there and did not trust the surface at all. However, most come to realize that it's better than you think. Also, if it's cold outside, it's a great track to ride because the surface is pretty grippy.

Bottom line is that once you get past some of the "character" of the track, many really come to enjoy it. It is a very technical and physical track. Going from a Texas World or Cresson to Oak Hill provides a nice change... and seat time at Oak Hill will make any rider better. Period. I'm more of a big, fast, flowing corner kind of guy... and Oak Hill is not that kind of track... but when you get it right at Oak Hill it's a blast and makes you ride that much better.

Oak Hill is one of those strange tracks you love or hate. I'm getting over my hate and have really started to dig the Hill. I hated the place first season out, narrow, bumpy and next to zero run off room. Seemed to me like racing on my grand dads double wide driveway, only rougher. Now I love the Hill, once you get some time there and figure out the smoothest way around, it is one of the most technical and challenging tracks in the country. If your going out there for the first time..... BE CAREFUL!!!!! Respect the track and know there will be lots of guys out there that are going to smoke you in amazing fashion. Get over it, learn the track and you'll get fast there over time, lots of time.....
