Just learn how to ride what you have your bike has more than you can handle IMO don't waste $$ just cuz you want a blow off valve noise. Just put a shot of NOS!!

When riding, rider and bike should be one in the same.

But, if you turbocharge your bike doesn't mean you're gonna get blown everytime you rev it up.

Keep this into consideration.

Yeah, thats all he needs anyway, the compressed air blow off noise maker.... He just wants to ride around and make noise/pose....That will be much cheaper, safer for him.

What kind of times are you running now (what mods)...?

If you don't plan to race it (i.e...drag 1/8, 1/4, 1-mile or top speed) then what is the point other than spending $6k to look stupid when someones asks to race....?

Only reason I am discouraging EVO from going turbo is due to how I hear that he rides...he will be spending a lot of money and losing a lot of day to day reliability all due to the fact he wants a blow off valve to make noise at the poser points.... That would be about the same as you buying a big air conditioned John Deer tractor to mow your yard when you live in an apartment. Not to mention I think he needs more riding experience and maybe even some racing experience before riding anything with big power.

Boost is always fun but you gotta pay to play. I wouldn't turbocharge anything with a limit on what your going to spend, it will go over budget. Instead you should think about it as project with no spending limit. Its your bike do what you want.
