You won't hear a blow off valve running 6lbs of boost.... The best blow off valves are the ones that actually flow air....(Tial 38 mm) The little tweeter noise making things you hear on Neons and Honda are just that, noise makers, they are modded to make MORE noise, not FLOW more air...

Trying to be a show off on a turbo bike will put you in the grave.

Have you caught onto the fact that Evo wants to spend $5-6k so his bike can have a loud blow off valve for taunting ricers at PP1?

This is noobness/posing at its finest...

Ervin, if you are serious about this, you should really follow Alan's advice.
Firstly, he knows his stuff when it comes to turbo's and the like. He also make's a lot of other good points concerning riding ability and turbo bikes. If your not serious about it, then this thread fails miserably.

There is definetly compromises with a turbo bike. You will likely not be able to just hop on it and go anywhere, anytime like you do a stock bike...Like anything else, you get what you pay for and the install and tuning will make or break you.

I would stick with RCC for the stg 1 kit, set the boost low, like 6lbs to keep it safe with stock compression, that will get you 220hp or so and that will be plenty for you.....especially since you really only want it for posing...LOL

www.rccturbos.com or www.velocityracing.com

Last alternative is a Hahn Racing stg 1 kit, quality is not there though like the other two I mentioned.

Pretty much anything else is junk.....

Good luck, get ready to spend some $$$

PS.... If I were you, I would learn to ride/race what you have first, you will likely take yourself out on a turbo bike. When you get to where you can safely run decent numbers on a stock busa, then start looking for more power.
+++1000% Alan knows his chit, these things are expensive and kinda like dating a model, high maintence, Once U are out riding what U have then do something else, That thing should do 9,s easy, there are lots of fast guys on here that could give U good advice, as much as I would love to do a Velocity kit, I dont wanna waste that kinda time and money

DUDE..... The purpose of a blow off valve is not to make noise, it is to release a lot of air quickly out of the plenum to prevent back flowing(stalling) the turbo.... GOOD blow off valves do not make a loud noise, they just make a light "whooosh" sound.... you barely hear it, aside from that, you will not make any blow off noise when you are only running 6psi of boost(which is what I would recommend you running on a stock motor).....You don't need a blow off valve until running 10psi or more.....complete waste of money....YOU WILL NOT HEAR IT with your low boost....

You are wanting to do this turbo thing for ALL the wrong reasons....

BTW all your buddies with the Neons and Hondas with the loud blow off valves, those are basically NOISE MAKERS....they put whistling devices in the blow off valves to make more noise but all it really does is restrict the exiting air flow. Do not by a turbo kit with the intentions of posing with the ricers.....you will be highly dissappointed with your bike.

I would not buy a used kit, ESPECIALLY if you are unfamiliar with what all is in a kit, how the kit works, what makes a good kit etc....you will end up spending more.

If you are going to do it, buy a new kit....Then you know the parts will all be there and be in new condition...... But I still think you are biting off WAY more then you can chew in all aspects of this idea....
