Bouncing it off the limiter at PP1, red lights and in traffic?

Just curious...

Why do you guys bounce, sometimes even hold, your bike at it's rev limiter at pp1, at red lights or in traffic?

Your bike doesnt sound any better than anyones else. And as a matter of fact, some of them sound terrible. And teh straight pipe guys, dont even get me started. Furthermore, it attracts alot of attention.

Just curious, what is the line of thought behind this? Give me some good reasons and I just might do it too.

I like when they do that. I also like the guys that hold the throttle open when they're starting a fuel injected bike.

I like it because it reminds me why I don't buy used sportbikes from younger riders.

'nuff said.

They'll grow out of it or they'll end up on the "too hot into a corner" list. I was never part of the PP1 crowd, but I did way too much stupid and/or dangerous stuff to get laid at that age to judge anybody. My bike doesn't go anywhere near the galleria and the squids don't get on my nerves.

I actually enjoy the entertainment at PP1. The company, the smiles, the laughs the coffee.

Don't carbed bikes have chokes? There should NEVER be a need to hold the throttle open.
