First track day recomendation

I have finally decided that I need to do a track day. My question is where would you recomend my first experience be?

I was thinking about the Ride Smart event on 3/29. If I don't do that event I would not be able to make another event until after April 15 (tax season).

Location and price aren't really an issue. I just want to have the best time possible.

thanks for you help

I enjoy all track events. I am sure the advertisements will begin! I will be at the 3/29 MSRH, you mentioned.

I have only rode with Texas Track days but I am sure anyone will do. I plan on doing some with some different orgs too.

Just get out there and do it. Have fun with it.

Texas Track Days has an event going on at MSRH on March 21st. You should come out and enjoy yourself.

Not to mention Texas Track Days offers some of the best instruction with smaller groups and smaller instructor to rider ratio as well.

Just pick one that fits your schedule. Be sure, to get yourself a chance to try them all and you will have your opinion. In my opinion, they are all great and same. It's like you have different groups of friends, which is better??? Know what I mean?

for your first time on the track I would definitely recommend either us (TTD) or lstd due to great instructor to student ratio and not overpacking the grids which can be rough your first day. we will be at MSRH on the 21st. Just look and see which has a schedule that fits your needs.

I would have to say be sure to ride with everyone as we are all different in some way and decide which you like the best.

if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a pm.

If you are just looking to have a good time, just about any organization will do.
But if you want to have a structured track day that will guide you throughout the day, pointing you in the right direction as to better your skill, I would suggest a classroom oriented organization. You will have a great experience working one on one with an instructor, who will give you pointers and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Do you know about what time the parade lap would begin? I could get out of work for a few hours that day.

The parade laps are at noon!

As far as picking an org. You can't go wrong with any of them. Pick the one that fits your schedule and just do it. Once you get your first day out of the way then I suggest trying all 3 and then picking which one you like the best, or do like a lot of people and ride with all 3 throughout the season. You only get out of a trackday what you are willing to put into it. There a GREAT instructors that work with all 3 orgs. Once you choose which day and which org post up in their sponser section that you are new and I am sure someone will that time work with you and answer any questions you have!

That being said. I do work for TTD and I would be remiss if I didn't pimp them!

regardless of which one you go to ... get there early, set up and make as many friends as you can. I've found that people at trackdays are always more than happy to help and give advice ... you just gotta put yourself out there ... talk to instructors after each session for advice, the more you talk to them, the more they're gonna know you're looking for guidance and the more they'll be looking out for you on the track.
