Flippin' nice Brandt! I like the fact that all the way in pic 5 the knee is about to be down but your still working the brake, nice touch on the pass.

And i do agree, Tiatool pics are really nice.

Actually I think I am off the brake, it just looks that way. Typically, if the traffic was not there and corner entry speed was higher, I may have still been on them.

I am still getting the hang of trail braking.

Here is one without traffic, still braking. The fast guys, brake even harder and longer I would imagine.

And, despite what some may say, I am a very humble person and in no way think I know even 20% of what I need to know about riding.

Having said that, this picture smashes the idea that a bike will not turn with pressure applied to the brakes.

I think there was a thread somewhere about that not too long ago.

peanut gallery talking here.. But I'd like to see the head and shoulders more to the inside, with the outside arm more straight. Your shoulders are pointing away from where the bike is headed..

But we've discussed this before and sometimes us fat boys don't bend the way we need to...

My body position has been a nightmare for me. Everytime I think I am finally getting it right, I look at pics. Its hard for us big guys.

And I learned quite a bit in Ty Howards school. 1/2 of my off the seat, it toooooo much !

I find the more I try to slide off, the more it closes up the hips. Partly my build, partly the bikes shape. I can get down and off the inside pretty low with the head and shoulders, and I just kinda stick a knee out... noticed one day I had my elbow resting on the outside of my inside knee and thought "hmmm maybe not such a good spot".. Tim even commented on it that day.. his dumb dragging pegs...

a D40 is not 1/2. It is a very good camera you may not have the glass as some of the pros

I saw you out there and I think once you hit the corner, your body postioning got better. It is hard for bigger guys I beieve, once I saw your pics, knowing you are a big guy, I'm hoping I can get there one day too. One step at a time.
