do it yourself, or ask people on here to help. there are plenty with the tools and know how. i don't know much about bikes myself, but all the mods i've done i've done in my garage with a buddy. and if you want a good shop, Sam's Cycle salvage, member romeo36 runs that joint and he can help ya out.

and don't you ever type in all caps to me, i've killed men for less!

lol boricua, te estoy jodiendo

quit yelling. i understand your frustration. u have a 650. not the most common bike like a gsxr 1k. you cant pic up any mag and find slip ons and extended swingarms for your bike. but you cant do it with the bandits either. check out www.customfighters.com that should be all you need. they can tell you how do do whatever you want

1500 is nothing for money spent on a bike.

look up some shops in the yellow pages and ask about their experience. you dont want just anyone doing it. talk about your plan for your bike. tell them exactly what you want and then talk prices. then go to the next shop and repeat. lol i know of a shop that could do it for sure. they have already done a several full blown customs. its twisted cycles in alvin. they are off highway 6 a little east of highway 35

look at member Jae (formerly Kacivic). look at his super custom hyosung, and then look at a stocker. he did all the work himself too.

A bigger tire won't cure your issue, maybe a better one. I can rail the ol' lady's Hyo 650 with a 160 rear on it, and I weigh 260...

Maybe a better rear shock or dial yours in?

Is there a 650R forum? That would be a good place to study up on mods....

I'm sure someone said it but you really need to go and sit on the bikes.
Get a list together of the bikes you like and go see how you feel on them.
This was the bike I was talking about. Very comfortable and PLENTY of power. It's a carbed 600 and it will MOVE. It was my first bike and I put about 12k miles on it.

Here's what it looks like

All this talk of the real tire makes you feel uneasy... whens the last time you checked the pressure?

Nice to be in the market for a new bike, (Well pending how you arrived there)many good choices. Since you already have a 650, try a larger displacement.

Real Comfort and real Sport are at opposite ends, so pending where you really want to be, The first that spring to mind shying away from exotics.

On the sporty side, any of the liter bikes
CBR 1000
GXR 1000
R1
Ninja 10R

Need more comfort less sport
Busa
Ninja ZX14...The all black one was cool

Still more comfort at less sport
B-King ... Wonder how these are selling? I dont see many.
V-Max ... To bad about the electronic cap at 140
V-Rod
Triumph Rocket 3... I think its cool but not much sport riding here.

Or for a little less displacement the 800 VFR is a good choice.

Good Luck

1340HIGH, I'm not sure on P.R's riding experience/ability/self-control, but some of your suggestions may have come a bit too soon. Not sure, but the current literbikes are stoopid fast and he MAY not be ready for that capability yet. That being said, I love my ZX-10R
