I can show you how to get a wake out of the malibu sprortster. I had a 97 model back in the day. I will surely hit you up this summer. On my sprtster we loded it down with 3----600# sacs and it was sitting deep. it throws a huge wake when weighted. had 4 10's in it and jamming too

lol thanks but i'll keep looking for a standup -- i dont like working on skis cause theres nothing worse than getting half way out and having problems, just ask cyrick about having to paddle back, he was out in the middle of the lake and accidently tripped the lock under the start button...

I think almost everyone on here can afford an old standup ski!!!!!!!
Find me a running ski with trailer for less than a K and I'm down....and I'm not talking about one that runs 50% of the time. I've heard these things are money pits...not quite as bad as a boat, but more costly than a motorcycle.

2 SOT kayaks, 1 hyperlite "state 145" wakeboard, and an 18m slingshot traction kite for kiteboarding. I also have a small 2.5m kite for pulling the kayak if i want.

i can strap you to my kite and you can get so much hang time you'd be crying!! a boat pulls at maybe 10 degrees, a kite pulls at 80. it pulls so hard that i have actually stopped on the surface of the water.

Don't let someone with sub-par knowledge talk you out of older jet ski's. People who tell "horror stories" are usually lacking quite a bit in the preventative maintenance department IMO. They only become "money pits" when you neglect them, or when the addiction grabs you and you start modifying them. I buy all of my "performance" parts used off of pwctoday and I gained 10MPH on my 650SX with less than $200 worth of parts. I've spent more money on fuel for my 2006 Yamaha FX140HO than i have on parts/repairs for my standups. If you want me to find you a ski, let me know when you have the cash and I'll begin the search. . .I know of several right now.
