quick turn throttles on suzukis

Anyone that tracks/races a suzuki done anything to reduce throttle rotation on their bike? I have a slightly limited range of motion in my right wrist, and am considering getting something a little quicker for my track .

Depending on the bike you can find one with less motion. I run an R1 tube on my Bandit, it reduced the turn to around 50-60%; I think the R6 is a little quicker... or the other way around.

Not sure on the GSXR if they will help or not

Schnitz racing has them. It comes with matching grips. I dont want a true 1/4 turn. The one schnitz has is 20% less turn to it.

Hey PoPo, I did the conversion on my '08 1K gixxer. It's cheap and easy. Probably take you 30 minutes. If you do a search on gixxer.com, you can find detailed instructions. TexLurch is correct that the R1 and R6 tubes are different. The gixxer is a 1/7th. I went to the tube that gave me a 1/6th which I believe is the R1.

Not surprising you need a Yami part to fix/upgrade a suzsucki.

it does, and 1/4th is a slow turn throttle....you want something like a 1/5 or even 1/6th

i have the R1 throttle tube on my gsxr and my SV. cheap and effective mod.

no ? I dunno, but I feel the 1/4 turn would help me be smoother on/off the gas.......

should I do the swap too?

you can be smooth with a quicker turn throttle also...except it does just that....gets you to WOT quicker with less effort.

if i remember correctly....the only way to get a quick turn throttle for your 600rr would be with the HRC quick turn throttle kit. that also costs about $200 plus you have to buy an rc51 kill switch, or buy their kit switch for like $50 i believe. the HRC kit is not as easy to get also. maybe yoyodyne might make a quick turn for your bike , but it will be the same price.

I am going with the R6 tube, I think. This weekend was the first time on a GSXR for me. That is RIDICULOUS! My end kept sliding, slipper clutch or not, cuz when you blip you gotta twist for real!
