Angry The LEO didn't do anything!

We all know that our dealings with the Police are rather random. There are times that we behave like and there are times when an officer behaves like an , always resulting in our time and money wasted on the system.

However, this particular instance got me upset.

I am on I-45 going south on a Saturday afternoon. Traffic is pretty average. I see a cruiser appear behind me. He runs my plates and begins to trail me. Naturally, I'm doing the speed limit. Cars on the left passing us up in the fast lane. He continues to trail me for another 5 miles uncomfortably close.
Then an SUV on the far right lane, without the use of any turn signals, swings 2 lanes over into my lane causing me to brake aggressively to avoid getting hit. Either way it is still a close call, as the Tahoe almost clips me.

What does the cop behind me do?

NOTHING. He just continues to trail me for another few miles and then slows down to park on the shoulder.

Do they even care any more? So sad there is no action anyone can take.

Next time they attempt to trail you, switch lanes and slow down. I hate it when they do that for no other reason than you're on a sports bike

haha

Here's one for ya...

So I was on a backroad not too long ago and I was appraching a gold wing lookin bike. The speed limit was like 55 and I was probably doing 70. Well, I slow down a bit and as the gold wing looks in his mirror he gets to the right side of his lane. I figured he was being polite and was allowing me to pass in his lane. So as I ease on by, now doing about 65 I notice the stripe on his pants, and then the badge decal on his helmet, and Im like , POPO!!! So I continue on with the pass and slow to about 60 now.

After about a mile he lights me up...so I see him approaching me on my right so I move to the left of my lane, he gets beside me, flashed 5 fingers twice and mouths, "fifty five".

I waved.....and slowed to 55.

He was a cool one.

What I do is get off the first ramp and get on later. No need in having that to worry about while in traffic.

I found that, generally, moto cops tend to be friendlier to bike riders because, well they know how it feels to be disregarded by just about any other vehicle on the road.

I wave at bike cops. Sometimes they wave back, other times I feel like an idiot.

I was at the intersection of Eldridge and Clay. There was a sheriff right next to me. We were in the front row at the red light. A car got rear ended HARD, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE COP. It couldnt have been more than 30 ft away. She kept talking on her phone and ignored the accident. The light turned green, and she drove away, now being less the 10 FEET from the cars as she passed. I didnt believe that !

Had that happen to me once . actually on my 21st B day on 59 going north taking 6-10 ramp south with a state trooper behind me. mini van filed with 20 people in it slammed on its brakes, two cars behind him swerve right and left around the van. i break because i know there is a State trooper behind me. he lights up and cuts me off to stop the van. van speeds up and he doesn't fallow! sticks his hands out the window telling me to pull over! I tell him what happens and he said he doesn't care and Proceeds in giving me a ticket for reckless driving fallowed by a Happy 21st Bday here is your present. took him to court and thank i had the Bike cam on that day and had it dismissed and judge ordered the trooper to apologizes for ruining my 21st Bday.

Sat. night I was out with friends from work. I was on Redbluff trying like not to speed. I was doing about 10 over at 2:30 am. As I was debating twisting the gas a cop hit his siren on me. I was a little thrown off because I didnt know he was there. I maintained my lane and speed waiting for the lights. After a few seconds he passed me on my right. He just kept going. I wonder if he was just trying to see if I was gonna run.

had a similar incident on the beltway with a hpd cruiser. let's just say i was booking it down bw. moving quite a bit faster than the flow of traffic (which in case you don't know on the south belt is well above the limit). i see a cruiser getting closer and closer. he finally pulls up right next to me (we are still booking it) and i look over and notices its the po-po. he gives the universal signal for slow down (palm downware motion) then waves and hauls past me.

I came up on one going up 45. I was doing a little over 99. He was cruising at around 82-83. I pulled out and slowly passed him. I looked over and nodded to him. He waved. I pulled in front of him, slowly worked into traffic, and turned tha wick up again. I thought I was screwed. I was thinking "I may as well nod and be nice to him. Maybe he'll write the ticket for less." There was no way out, I came over an overpass and came right up to his bumper FAST.

I have good luck with cops, lol. Just got a warning for 92 a few weeks ago.

thats a trick some officers use, one of my sheriff uncles does that on a daily basis in the hoods around houston. wait for a group of cars to roll by, jump in behind 'em with lights and sirens going. wait for everyone to get over. if someone runs, its on, if not, he drives past them, and shuts it down.

Really? What exactly does he say about his Probable cause for initiating the stop to begin with?
